Privacy notice

This notice describes how Valet List handles information on valetlist.com and its preview site. Updated September 5, 2026.

Information we collect

The public directory contains business and venue details, such as addresses, websites and business phone numbers. If you send a correction, suggestion or contact message, we store your message privately so staff can review it. A reply email is optional. Please do not include payment details, medical information or other sensitive personal data.

Our hosting and security providers process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages and error information, to deliver the website, prevent abuse and diagnose problems.

How we use and share information

We use submissions to answer questions, review corrections and improve the directory. Staff can review this information. We may publish corrected business or venue facts after review; your reply email and private review notes are excluded from public listings. We do not sell submissions or use them to subscribe you to marketing.

Cloudflare provides website delivery, security and private file storage. Railway hosts our editorial application and database. These providers process information needed to operate their services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to address abuse and protect the service.

Maps and external websites

Opening a map loads tiles from OpenStreetMap, which receives technical information such as your IP address and the map area requested. The site does not request your device’s precise location. Selecting a directions, company or venue link takes you to another service with its own privacy practices.

How long we keep information and your choices

We keep editorial records while they are useful for review, corrections and operating the directory. Older copies may remain in backups after removal from live records. Access to the editorial system is restricted to staff. You can use the directory without an account.

Use our contact form to ask about information you submitted or request a correction or deletion. Include enough detail to identify the record. We may need to confirm that the request concerns your information. Changes to this notice will appear on this page.

When you leave a valet review

Your chosen display name, rating, visit month, written experience and optional pickup wait may be published after moderation. Your email, consent receipt and moderation notes remain private. You do not need to supply an email to review a location. Please leave out license plates, financial details, medical information and other people’s personal information.

Use our contact form to request review correction or removal, and include the review identifier or listing address so we can locate it. We retain the submitted review and its moderation record to administer the review service unless removal is required or appropriate.
